SAP Connector Release PV8.4.0 SV110

The theme of this minor release are new features and bug fixes.

New Features

  • To avoid potential timeout limits when creating a Web API Authentication using an SIC Connection, you can now use a Database Connection instead of Direct Connection. Timeout limits can be set in General Settings for Web API Authentication connections. (MP3-7825).

  • You can now specify how your client ID and secret credentials are sent using the Authentication Method drop-down when creating an OAuth 2.0 Web API authentication, ensuring a successful authentication. (MP3-8288)

  • When creating a Web API Authentication with a Smart Integration Connection, you can choose whether your request is retrieved using http or https using the Is Service HTTPS setting. (MP3-8322)

Fixed Issues

  • When creating Web API endpoints using custom query options, in the last step, you can select parameters. (MP3-8052)

  • The solution correctly parses resource paths from OData V4 metadata XML files that contain parameters. (MP3-7940)

Known Issues

  • When building your Datasphere query using the SQL Query Builder, Platform version 8.4 stacks conditions on top of one another rather than below. This Platform behavior will not change. To avoid this issue while using SAP Connector, we recommend upgrading to Platform Version 8.5 where the SQL Query Builder behaves as expected.

Upgrade Information

  • This release supports a reinstall over the existing installation. Reach out to your OneStream Software representative for questions regarding this process. Reinstalling over the existing application may affect existing Web API endpoint configurations. You can verify endpoint authentication links in the Services dashboard.

  • OneStream recommends uninstalling the UI for SAP Connector before installation.

Compatibility

  • This release requires a minimum 8.4 Platform release.
